Silver Sterling Jewelry (any Condition), Silver Coins, Silver rounds, Silver bars, Sterling Silver Flatware. Dimes, Quarters, and Half Dollars up to 1964 are made out of 90% silver. Halves only from 1965 – 1969 are 40% silver.

When you look up the market price of gold (called the spot price) it is based on One Troy ounce of 24K gold.
A troy ounce is what is used to weigh precious metals, you need 31.1 grams for one troy ounce instead of the 28 grams that we are used to.
Gold comes in different karats, for example, 10k, 14k, 18k, 22k, 24k. This is the purity of that gold, other metals are mixed in with the gold to strengthen the gold, change the color, and make it cheaper. For example a 14K gold chain will have 58.5% gold and then other metals mixed in, mostly copper.
Gold comes in three colors: Yellow, White, and Rose, Gold is yellow in color, to turn it into different colors you need to add other metals to change the color, White gold has a lot of Silver mixed in, and Rose gold has a lot of copper mixed in. There is no such thing as 24K White or Rose gold.
The Color does not affect the price. 14K gold is the same amount of gold regardless of the color.
Silver also is weighted in troy ounces. Silver jewelry is made out of sterling silver, sterling means 92.5% silver with 7.5% being other metals usually copper. So the words Sterling and the numbers 925 mean the same thing.
NJ State Laws: If you plan on selling to The Gold Mine. We are required by State Law to take a photo of a legal, current Driver License, US Passport, or US government issued ID with your picture and address on the ID. The ID cannot be expired and cannot have a hole punched in it.
We are also required to obtain an address, phone number, and we need to take a photo of you as well.
Failure to obtain any of this will result in a fine and or imprisonment for me, and I am too pretty for jail, so if you do not have the proper ID, I cannot purchase any items from you.
